Your Mission

  • Legal Support: Provide practical, timely and effective legal support to PUMA’s business units and functions in LatAm Region.
  • Business Partnering: Work as a valued and trusted business partner, giving effective advice that helps to achieve business goals while anticipating and managing legal risks.
  • Coordination: Work with other members of the PUMA legal function globally on global and regional legal initiatives as well as other legal matters, to achieve and maintain alignment.
  • Contracts: Draft, review and negotiate various types of commercial contracts, in particular commercial leasing, store fit-out, e-commerce, wholesale, franchising, sponsorship, marketing and procurement agreements.
  • Online: Provide advice on online activities, such as e-commerce, social media marketing and digital advertising, taking into consideration online advertising, data protection and consumer protection and other laws.
  • Secretarial: Provide corporate secretarial advice and prepare documents in relation to shareholders meetings, board resolutions, and corporate reorganizations.  Manage corporate secretarial records and company seals.
  • Consumer Issues: Provide advice related to product liability, consumer guarantees, product labeling, advertising standards, and customer disputes.
  • Privacy: Provide counseling and advice on privacy and data protection matters in relation to employees, customers and third parties.
  • Employment: Review, revise and/or draft employment contracts, staff policies, non-disclosure agreements, non-compete agreements and other agreements. Assist HR in managing employee disputes and separations.
  • Tax: Work with other PUMA functions on issues concerning exchange controls, customs duties, and other tax law related matters. Prepare, review and maintain transfer pricing and other intragroup agreements.
  • Monitor Regulations: Monitor changes in relevant legislations and the regulatory environment; propose and implement appropriate responses to such changes.
  • External Counsel Management: Work with external counsel and other service providers in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Disputes: Manage legal disputes (including administrative and criminal investigations, proceedings and litigations) and achieve settlement in an effective manner.
  • Compliance: Champion the PUMA Code of Ethics; participate in third party due diligence; undertake business conduct investigations; implement compliance protocols.
  • Training: Develop and conduct trainings on various legal and compliance topics for an audience of PUMA staff and third parties.
  • Document Management: Assist in filing and managing signed contracts and other legal documents.

Your Talent

  • Degree in law is required
  • 4-6 years relevant LatAm based experience working in top-tier law firms or multi-national corporations.
  • Professional experience in a multinational company, dealing with corporate and commercial law matters is required.
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiations skills.
  • Excellent level of written and spoken Spanish and English.
  • Ideally excellent level of written and spoken Portuguese.
