Your Talent

Education: University degree with a focus on Marketing or Sports Management

Professional: 3+ years of experience in sports marketing or partnership management, preferably with a background in working with sports federations or similar organizations.

IT Skills: MS Office (Powerpoint and Excel knowledge is a must)

Language Skills: Bi-lingual/multi-lingual a must (Fluency in English & Bahasa is a must)

Your Mission

The Sports Marketing Specialist will be responsible for managing the relationship with a key sports federation in Malaysia and football initiatives aligning PUMA’s brand strategies with federation objectives. This role includes overseeing marketing communications, ensuring effective partnership servicing and coordinating with PUMA’s global team on jersey designs tailored to the federation’s needs. The ideal candidate is experienced in sports marketing, skilled in agency management, and comfortable working cross-functionally to deliver seamless brand experiences. 

Task 1: Federation Relations and Servicing

  • Serve as the primary contact for the designated sports federation in Malaysia, ensuring their needs are met and aligned with PUMA's brand objectives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the federation’s goals, identifying collaborative opportunities that promote both the federation and PUMA.
  • Facilitate consistent communication and feedback between the federation and internal teams, ensuring strong and supportive partnerships.

Task 2: Sports Agency Management: 

  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with an external sports agency, ensuring alignment with PUMA’s goals and federation requirements.
  • Oversee agency deliverables, set clear expectations, and conduct regular performance evaluations to maintain high standards of output.
  • Review and approve agency reports, budgets, and proposals, ensuring accountability and effective resource management.
  • Collaborate with agency to recruit and service football players, enhancing pitch visibility and brand presence.

Task 3: Marketing Communication

  • Create and execute targeted marketing communication plans to showcase the federation partnership, leveraging digital, social, and PR channels.
  • Work with content and PR teams to generate compelling content that highlights PUMA’s collaboration with the federation, boosting brand visibility in Malaysia.
  • Track and analyze communication efforts, using insights to refine strategies and report on campaign performance.

Task 4: Kit Management

  • Create and execute targeted marketing communication plans to showcase the federation partnership, leveraging digital, social, and PR channels.
  • Work with content and PR teams to generate compelling content that highlights PUMA’s collaboration with the federation, boosting brand visibility in Malaysia.
  • Track and analyze communication efforts, using insights to refine strategies and report on campaign performance.

Task 5: Football Initiative Management

  • Lead football marketing campaigns, activations, and product launches outside of federation partnership, ensuring cohesive brand presence and community engagement.
  • Oversee day-to-day football marketing activities, including wholesale projects, aligned with brand and sales goals.
  • Collaborate with Sales team on grassroots initiatives to strengthen the football category and drive consumer retail engagement.

Task 6: Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate closely with Merchandising, Go-To Market and Sales teams to maintain alignment on federation strategies and brand messaging.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the local market and global design teams, facilitating effective communication and smooth project execution.
