JUNIOR COUNSEL PATENT ENGINEERING

• Steer innovation projects according to patent restrictions/specifications in the field of (sporting goods), new manufacturing and material innovations
• Research patent application opportunities and perform patent searches (e.g. patentability, Freedom to Operate, patent validity/invalidity) in sport innovations (materials & technologies)
• Collaborate closely with the company's External Patent Counsel and inhouse legal department
• Act as liaison for interdepartmental initiatives
• IP Monitoring of patent landscape and technology trends in close collaboration with Intellectual Property team
• Prepare technical documents for later patent application 

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/material/textile engineering or a similar scientific discipline
• Prior experience in patent preparation and prosecution in a law firm environment is desired.
• Awareness of and interest in current landscape of patents, innovative materials, new production techniques and constructions
• Excellent communication skills in English and ideally German (both orally and in writing). Chinese is desirable, but not mandatory.
• Knowledge in Adobe Illustrator, CATIA and Matlab are also considered a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and good understanding of industry processes
• Proactive and approachable team player
• Willingness to travel.
