Your Mission

  • Maintain material tracking tools in conjunction with the Hong Kong office,for up-to-date information on fabric and trims within each season. Send and receive material developments, keeping accurate internal and external records
  • Research new technologies, seasonal trends, competition and products/markets. Monitor social media for performance fabric/trim trends
  • Work with Development Team counterparts in the Herzogenaurach and Hong Kong offices to maintain accurate information in the Material Repository database and Material Library
  • Assist in the presentation of newness to the Design and Product Line Management Teams, guiding them towards materials that work for the desired end use in terms of aesthetics, sustainability and testing
  • Prepare source and develop requests and communicate these to the relevant offshore Fabric/Trim sourcing teams
  • Occasional travel to Material Trade Shows for developments, finding newness, and building vendor relationships
  • Maintain detailed notes and recaps in weekly meetings 
  • Assisting in the execution of all Material calendar deadlines within a season

Your Talent

  • Bachelors Degree in a relatable field
  • 3 years of industry experience
  • Organizational skills, and the ability to take on numerous and sometimes long term organizational projects while meeting deliverables and timelines
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills working within a variety of cross functional departments
  • Demonstrate self-motivation, drive, and the desire to learn and grow professionally
  • Competency in Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Word.
