Your Mission

  • Maintain and follow up on material tracking tools for fabric and trims within each season. Work in conjunction with the Hong Kong office to keep that information up to date and in an organized format.
  • Send and receive material developments, keeping clean internal and external records.
  • Research new technologies, seasonal trends, competition and products / markets. Monitor social media for performance fabric / trim trends.
  • Working with the Hong Kong team to maintain accurate information in the Material Repository database.
  • Maintain the Material Library, collaborating with the Herzo and Hong Kong offices to keep processes in sync globally.
  • Assist in the presentation of newness to the design and PLM teams through the newness, guiding the teams towards materials that work for the desired end use, in terms in aesthetics, sustainability and testing.
  • Prepare “FIND ME / DEVELOP ME” requests and communicate these to the relevant offshore Fabric / Trim sourcing teams.
  • Occasional travel to Material Trade Shows for developments, finding newness, and building vendor relationships.
  • Maintaining detailed notes and recaps in weekly meetings.
  • Assisting in the execution of all Material calendar deadlines within a season.

Your Talent

  • Bachelors Degree in a relatable field
  • Minimum 3 Years industry experience
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to take on long term organizational projects
  • Collaborative personality, able to work well in teams
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills working with many people in a variety of cross functional departments.
  • Ability to multi-task - working on numerous projects but still meeting deliverables and timelines.
  • Show self-motivation, maturity, drive and the desire to learn and grow professionally.
  • Competency in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and willingness to learn internal systems
