Your Mission

The Jr. Accountant is responsible for the accurate management of financial transactions. This includes the posting of information to the SAP system from respective source documents such as invoices from suppliers as well as outgoing invoices to sports marketing assets. The Jr. Accountant works closely with the Jr. Manager Finance and assists with the preparation of VAT returns for relevant countries and with the monthly reconciliation of intercompany transactions. Furthermore the Jr. Accountant supports in any other ad hoc financial analyses and reports. 


  • Accounts payable & accounts receivable: ensure accurate administration and timely processing of incoming and outgoing invoices and ensure continuous improvement of accounting processes 

  • Periodic journal entries such as prepaid expenses, accruals, hedge valuations, tax bookings and ongoing IFRS16 lease administration 

  • Liaise with the Legal team, Sports Marketing teams and other relevant teams regarding contractual parameters 


  • Assist with accurate and timely preparation of VAT returns for relevant countries 

  • Assist with monthly reconciliation of intercompany transactions and follow up 

  • Any other ad hoc financial analyses & reports 

In addition 

  • Internal contact for invoice questions including payment status 

  • Enhance existing process documentation and financial reporting 

  • Assist with financial and operational process improvements & optimizations 

  • Work in accordance with the PUMA Group accounting policies and procedures as well as applicable laws and standards 

  • Maintain and ensure compliance, accuracy and confidentiality 

Your Talent

  • Bachelor degree in Finance or Business Administration 

  • Affinity with sports and sports lifestyle 

  • Excellent English communication skills 

  • Experience in an international environment is preferred 

  • Self-starter, flexible and able to work under pressure 

  • Positive communication style and eager to learn 

  • Analytical and good MS Excel skills
