Your Mission

PUMA International Sports Marketing B.V. is looking for a Jr. Accountant to join our Leusden-based Sports Marketing & Sports Licensing Finance-team. The Jr. Accountant will work closely with the (Jr.) Manager Finance and will be responsible for the accurate executing of critical financial transactions. This includes the posting to the SAP system of information from respective source documents such as invoices from suppliers as well as outgoing invoices to sports marketing business partners. Furthermore the Jr. Accountant will support with the preparation of VAT returns for relevant countries and with the monthly reconciliation of intercompany-transactions. 

Accounting
    Accounts payable & accounts receivable: ensure accurate administration and timely processing of incoming and outgoing invoices and ensure continuous improvement of accounting processes
    Periodic journal entries such as prepaid expenses, accruals, hedge valuations, tax bookings and ongoing IFRS16 lease administration
    Liaise with the Legal team, Sports Marketing & Sports Licensing Specialists and other relevant teams regarding contractual parameters
    Ensure complete and accurate Financial Reporting by maintaining the Balance Sheet and P&L accounts


Reporting
    Monthly reconciliation of intercompany transactions and follow up
    Assist with accurate and timely preparation of VAT returns for relevant countries
    Any other ad hoc financial analyses & reports


In addition
    Work closely with the Legal team and the Sports Marketing & Sport Licensing specialists to ensure best possible service to internal and external stakeholders
    Build excellent relationships with our Group Finance teams
    Internal contact for invoice inquiries including payment status
    Enhance existing process documentation and financial reporting
    Assist with financial and operational process improvements & optimizations
    Work in accordance with the PUMA Group accounting policies and procedures as well as applicable laws and standards
    Maintain and ensure compliance, accuracy and confidentiality
 

Your Talent


    Bachelor degree in Financial Accounting or Business Administration
    Passion for sports and sports lifestyle, especially football, track & field and motorsport
    Excellent English communication skills - experience in an international environment is preferred
    Self-starter with a creative and solution-oriented mindset
    Positive communication style and eager to learn
    Open to change and continuous improvement of processes
    Analytical and good MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
