Your Mission

  • Stay up to date on pricing and costing trends that may influence the companies ability to achieve its margin objectives.
  • Define and implement strategies alongside factory partners/Business Units/ Development Teams & Management to mitigate cost challenges & maximise profitability opportunities.
  • Lead the costing team working alongside development heads from brief through prototyping to a final product to achieve Target FOB & Margins on a product level while maintaining and elevating product value.
  • Participate in Tech Pack Review sessions to ensure the target FOB is set appropriately as well as providing expert input to maximise value and reduce cost.
  • Lead Price negotiations with Suppliers to ensure Business Unit and Footwear margin targets are achieved. 
  • Introduce a parallel practice to cost the volume driving product families across PUMA Sourcing landscape to ensure constant value for money.
  • This role is responsible to ensure labor costs and overheads are constantly optimized and monitored to ensure supply base is healthy while ensuring product costs are relevant and efficient, across the Puma Sourcing landscape.
  • Review and agree with Central Controlling the Pricelists for Distribution to the Product Division to Headquarters

Your Talent

  • Bachelor degree 
  • Strong industry knowledge in footwear of at least 10 years, including all related input costs across the main manufacturing countries in Asia.
  • Familiar with different footwear constructions & manufacturing methods as well as the sourcing cost landscape across Asia. Strong fact based negotiation skills.
  • Ability to take fast decisions and be fully accountable for the outcome. Ability to communicate effectively across multiple cultures with a solution oriented approach.
  • Experienced in MS Office, SATRASum, RisingStar pattern nesting program
  • Very good English, Mandarin
  • Highest integrity
