Your Mission

This role will be joining PUMA’s Engineering/IT team at a critical point in the company’s growth trajectory where the NA Regional office and Boston International teams join together in a new corporate headquarters in Somerville, MA.  

  • Support network and various other Infrastructure at local and remote offices as well as colocation data center
  • Manage, maintain, troubleshoot and support our networks, equipment, and other related services
  • Specific focus on the management and configuration of the Aruba Wlan and Cisco LAN/WAN infrastructure
  • Identify problems while working within a structured problem management and resolution process to remediate them
  • Design and implement solutions based off business requirements and best practices
  • Implement network architecture through hands on tasks as well as by preparing either paper or interactive lab models. Manages network changes and implementations while coordinating with other teams and is accountable for testing and turn-over of network projects utilizing SOP documentation
  • Studies and validates network architecture by developing and completing usability test plans; recommends upgrades, evaluates traffic patterns as well as, studies pilot results
  • Work closely with our Information Security Team on remediation and implementing new technologies
  • Scheduled On Call rotation as required in a global 24x7 environment

Your Talent

  • Experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study preferred. Technical College degree in Computer networking plus equivalent work experience also considered
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience with Wireless Infrastructure, Cisco LAN, WAN + Datacenter networking, Firewalling/routing and related technologies
  • Cisco CCNA or CCNP required and additional vendor certifications preferred. (Palo Alto, Aruba Networks, Cisco ISE) 
  • Must be proficient with Wireless infrastructure management and support, LAN and WAN Switching, Data Center Switching, Routing, firewalls, Network access infrastructures and related services
  • Experience working with Cisco switches, routers, Aruba Wireless Infrastructure, Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco ISE and AnyConnect
  • Excellent understanding of VLAN’s, LAN, WAN, BGP, EIGRP, STP, NAT, 801.1x, RADIUS, TACACS+
  • Excellent understanding of network security technologies including; Firewalling, IPS/IDS, NAC, IPSec VPN, Port Security, Segmentation, SSL Decryption and Zero Trust architectures
  • Experience with VMWare, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, ISCSI, FC switching and related networking services
  • Cloud networking and cloud security a plus (Microsoft Azure, Vwan/Vnet)
