Your Mission

  • Manage and lead the buying team to build the most profitable, balanced, customer-focused range and create channel-specific collections which reflects the brand strategy and showcases PUMA appropriately in each channel (Ecommerce, Marketplaces, Fullprice stores, FOC stores)
  • Responsible of developing and executing strategic plans to ensure planned growth together with Head of Merchandising
  • Manage the purchasing process and release the seasonal retail product range
  • Ensure that product selection is made by division, business units, gender and store concepts and cluster for all stores in Europe and eCommerce
  • Achieve the sales figures while following companies marketing activities in accordance with company guidelines
  • Create retail exclusive products and assortments per channel based on consumer insights and future trend expectations
  • Influencing global product offering through cooperation with regional merchandising teams
  • Support Brand initiatives and Marketing campaigns through selection of key products into assortments in appropriate depth
  • Build a strong relationship with the Regional Merchandising Team to drive alignment between Retail and Wholesale

Your Talent

  • Minimum of 10+ years of demonstrated ability in retail buying, merchandise management or product management within a sportwear or fashion retailer for bricks and mortar (Fullprice and Factory Outlet Stores) and digital business (mono-branded online store and marketplaces)
  • A full end-to-end understanding the buying and merchandising lifecycle as well as a clear understanding of the purchasing process
  • Extensive experience of implementing and delivering creative and commercial strategy across apparel, footwear and accessories, and providing clear assortment and product briefing to product line management and design
  • Experience in building, retaining and developing a highly performing and talented team with an emphasis on succession planning.
  • Proven experience of motivating and engaging a team by building a solid, positive working environment, helping to coach them in their development and celebrate their successes
  • Efficient time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize work effectively
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills as well as a comprehensive understanding of financial KPIs
