This role will be joining PUMA’s People & Organization team at a critical point in the company’s growth trajectory where the NA Regional office and Boston International teams join together in a new corporate headquarters in Somerville, MA.  Become a member of our successful People & Organization as a Specialist, People Rewards.  

  • Approximately 60% focused on the administration of the company’s leave of absence programs in the US and Canada for both Corporate and Retail employees

  • Ensure all leave requests follow company leave policies and are within compliance under federal and state/provincial guidelines and legislative changes for leave program policies, procedures, plan documents, and benefit summaries; and with the Americans with Disabilities Act (US)

  • Update Employee leave and pay status in the HRIS system; work closely with payroll to ensure accurate wage payments and application of accrued time

  • Monitor employee leave periods; identify patterns, issues or concerns and coordinate with employees, departments, People & Organization Management, disability vendors and Legal as necessary

  • Counsel and educate employees and managers on Leave of Absence policies and procedures and assist with Workers Compensation cases

  • Leverage technology to simplify and streamline internal processes and manage monthly leave and ad hoc reporting

  • Oversea the provision of administrative services by third parties for leave and disability programs including relationship management with Benefit vendors; partner to resolve issues

  • Manage electronic availability and distribution of leave and disability information on the local intranet site (SharePoint)

  • Approximately 40% focused on Benefit Programs

  • Administer Direct Billing Program for Benefit premium payment in the US and Canada and conduct regular reconciliation of General Ledger Benefit Accounts in partnership with Finance

  • Audit and pay invoices for some benefit plans and complete compliance tasks including nondiscrimination testing and HIPAA Training

Your Talent

  • Bachelor’s degree and Human Resources Benefits experience p

  • Minimum 4 years of experience with a full spectrum of leave and disability benefit programs

  • Multi-state leave of absence administration preferred

  • Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office & HR systems

  • Basic math and calculation skills

  • Possess strong analytical, presentation, problem solving and decision-making abilities
