Your Mission

Develop both long term and seasonal business plans. line architectures, and resultant briefs for Footwear that serve the needs of the business.

          Work directly with accounts to define and develop programs that are in line with both the account and PUMA's financial and brand objectives

         Manages small team of Merchandising professional(s)  

Prepare and interpret sell in and sell thru data in order to provide and execute against resultant recommendations and actionable strategies

          Responsible for the preparation. execution, and presentation of sell in strategies and programs at account meetings .and quarterly sales meetings

          Work with Sales to ensure all programs are successfully sold in and executed

          Work directly with the international product development teams and regional team to ensure the creation of product that delivers against the brand and line architecture requirements

          Work cross-department to ensure we are identifying and implementing efficiencies that drive best cost


          Balance incoming trends, key items, color and product flow to drive category growth and increase PUMA

and account profitability

          Understand competitive environments in detail. Expertise in identifying trend curves, color direction, pricing, marketing, key items and how they are applicable to PUMA

          Responsible for delivering against net sales, net margin and SKU efficiency targets

          Visit stores and be in market consistently.

          Service Canadian marketplace and drive commonality where possible.

          Execute the global and regional merchandising strategy in order to achieve country wholesale targets.

a          Supports organization with the focalized understanding of the Regional strategy and well-defined Game Plan broken down by business segment, category and channel.

          Becomes category expert on the country's door profiles (consumer I retail segmentation) for all points of distribution in Canada.

          Prepare industry analysis, market research, and competitive analysis.

s          Drives and Provides category analysis to management

          Seasonal Line Planning -defines country collection and business plan according to budget targets and in line with the regional/ global business strategy. Include product selection, pricing and margin goals.

a          Executes Seasonal Key Assortments and develops the overall product assortment proposal by BU I Segment I Sub Segment and DC.

m         Development and presentation of seasonal product collections, inclusive of key account direction and presentation.

a          Liaison with PUMA international, PNA, World cat and partners.

          Timely execution and follow up of all product related functions of the seasonal business calendar

          Organization and coordination of all seasonal sample requirements.

a          Maintenance and record keeping of all business correspondence relevant to specific.

          Liaison with PUMA international, PNA, World Cat and partners.

a          Oversee procurement of all products within the categories managed

Your Talent

Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing or related field strongly preferred

· 4-6 years’ experience in merchandising, integrated retail or product creation related role

· Passion for apparel and the athletic industry

· Proficiency with Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Word, Excel

· Experience in a cross functional work environment, project management or matrix organization

· Team player with ability to work under pressure

· Attention to detail, structured and process oriented

· Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives

· Experience in account management either in sales or merchandising

· Ability to travel 40% of time, and work occasional nights and weekends
