Your Mission
- Primary Material support resource and related to a designated material type for internal stakeholders in Development and Production, for an assigned PDC (Product Development Center) and its factories. This would include technical knowledge and complete operational ownership of that material type
- Daily sourcing and material quality trouble shooting, identify, develop and manage material suppliers based on Puma’s sourcing strategy. Manage end-to-end material sourcing including lead time and process analyses, product offering, facility evaluation and financial capabilities
- Ensure Puma’s sustainability commitments are met on material criteria, in coordination with the Puma’s S.A.F.E. team and third-party auditors
- Liaise and align with laboratory on physical testing criteria and standards. Engage with Planning and factories to communicate seasonal material forecasts to suppliers
- Support Toolbox initiatives: Select, review and update the core and seasonal material toolboxes
- Support innovation efforts with suppliers, including technology investment advice and market trend guidance and co-manage periodic business review meetings with vendors to address business issues as required. Work with Puma Design and Development on sample specifications and delivery
- Track and manage strategic suppliers based on individual vendor profiles: Strategic and In-Line. Responsibility for T2 vendor relationship. Responsible for vendor performance tracking and relationship management, pricing and capacity negotiation based on industry data, and issue resolution between factories, suppliers and Puma
- Support the Material libraries management in Puma’s Vietnam locations
- Support Puma’s color consolidation efforts to eliminate unapproved color usage and variations
- Execute the project that assigned by Head of sourcing
