Your Mission

The Manager, Marketing - Basketball will be responsible for developing and executing basketball marketing plans that will engage consumers, drive traffic and drive sales to our key retailers and eCommerce sites in PUMA North America.  

  • Coordinate the execution of PUMA basketball product launch and marketing activation plans in North America inclusive of consumer and account marketing plans 
  • Manage the marketing seeding and product ordering process for basketball initiatives and launches
  • Manage and execute grassroots basketball programs and activations
  • Coordinate athlete and talent requests for internal marketing members and execute appearances and associated events and retailer programs
  • Manage local level launch events and activations associated with key local basketball cultural moments and programs (ex. All-Star, NBA Draft, sponsorships)
  • Manage required marketing agencies and contractors involved with on the ground execution of marketing programs
  • Develop cross-functional creative and activation briefs when relevant
  • Develop executive summary launch plans and recap decks for all product launches
  • Work with consumer marketing channels on media/social/PR needs for local level launch support, activations and key account programs
  • Manage the regional marketing basketball budget and all associated processes
  • Work with the Global Head of Basketball Marketing and support regionally connected programs

Your Talent

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sports Marketing or Communications  
  • 5-6 years of relevant marketing experience – marketing planning, activation planning, channel marketing or agency experience
  • Clear interest, passion and knowledge for basketball, sneakers and sport culture   
  • Ability to interact with celebrities, athletes and talent in a professional manner
  • Highly skilled project management capabilities
  • Proven cross-functional communication skills and seen as a team player
  • Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with a proven ability to work independently, adhere to tight deadlines, and multi-task
  • Excellent organization and computer skills required; aptitude for PowerPoint specifically
  • Ability to work out of two offices (Westford and Boston)
  • In mid-2021, the PUMA North America Regional Corporate Headquarters will be moving to a new office located in Somerville, MA. All positions currently located at the Westford office, as well as at our International Boston office, will make this transition
