Your Mission

The Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of projects. The Project Manager will work closely with all functional stakeholders (including Legal, Tax, Finance, IT, Logistics, Merchandising, Marketing, P&O, Retail, E- commerce & Wholesale) to lead, plan, organize and direct strategic Oceania business projects to ensure that the projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance to business requirements as directed by the project sponsor.

One major focus point will be to review and improve the end to end processes across all functions.

Lead the extensive development and execution of detailed project plans across all relevant departments to ensure project success:

  • Define the overall project scope and design the project structure with the Project Sponsor

  • Perform detailed scoping of the project and identify key workstreams by working closely with all functional leads - including the alignment of the workstream’s outcome, responsibilities, task lists and timelines

  • Identify and build in all inter & intra workstream dependencies into the project plan to develop a clear picture of the project’s critical pathway

  • Conduct budgeting alongside the finance department to prepare a detailed estimate of the total project cost

  • Establish a project communication plan to ensure that all stakeholders (e.g., project sponsor, workstream leads, advisors, and steering committee members) are well aligned on key project topics

Lead the execution of detailed project plans and coordinate with all project stakeholders to ensure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules to achieve the project objective:

  • Conduct regular workstream update sessions and project update sessions to collect status updates from workstream leads and closely monitor the progress against the planned task list and timelines.

  • Measure project performance through established KPIs and report to management on a regular basis

Perform regular review of the overall project plan and update where required to meet the changing project requirements with the approval of the Project Sponsor:

  • Communicate project plan updates to all project stakeholders

Work closely with project stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and manage project risks in an effective manner with a particular focus on topics along the critical pathway with strong interdependencies across workstreams:

  • Act as the first gate keeper in problem solving and only escalate to management if required (e.g., decision making)

Lead/ support the preparation of strategic Oceania business proposals and presentation updates  for submission and approval.

Ensure robust knowledge of project best practices and document management:

  • Define and establish best practices and processes for projects to enable cross- functional departments/ teams to readily manage and deliver on assigned/identified workstreams.

  • Create, organize, and maintain records of project documents including templates for reporting, project file management, etc.

Your Talent

  • A degree in Accountancy/ Business preferred

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a strategy, consulting, or project management role preferably within the consumer product/ sports/ fashion industry

  • Excellent MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project),

  • Project Management Tools (Monday.com, Confluence, Jira),

  • SAP beneficial

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal & written

  • High attention to detail

  • Sharp critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Organized and process driven mindset

  • Strong business acumen and ability to grasp business requirement from stakeholders

  • Results driven & self motivated

  • Agile and able to quickly adapt to evolving business needs in a

    fast-paced environment

  • Leadership skills

  • Keen interest in retail and sporting goods industry

  • Good commercial acumen skills

  • Experience in project management skills and tools
