Your Mission

With minimal supervision, the Junior HR Business Partner is responsible for providing PUMA North America’s Field Retail Team with support and expertise in all areas of Human Resources Management. This includes employee relations counseling, leadership coaching, performance management, progressive disciplinary action, training, timecard management, and administrative support at the Field level. Represent the Brand Values – Brave, Confident, Determined and Joyful in all decisions, actions, processes and practices. The Junior People & Organization Partner currently supports 36 stores with 500 employees throughout the continental US and Canada.

  • Ensure compliance with current COVID regulations and protocols to maintain a safe and healthy Workplace for all employees
  • Build relationships with Field Leadership Management
  • Act as the liaison for our Canadian Retail Stores in the areas of policy and process translation
  • Be the main point of contact for translation for the Canadian Retail Stores, both verbal and written
  • Provide effective, creative, and objective employee relations support for the Field Functions through coaching, policy interpretation, progressive disciplinary action and incident investigation
  • Initiate and oversee store investigations in collaboration with third party investigators; investigate employee issues and recommend appropriate action, partner with internal legal counsel and ensure compliance with state and federal Labor Employment Laws
  • Guide store managers through the performance management process to ensure consistency, clarity and achievable action plans
  • Review and update Canadian Retail Policies & Procedures and Handbook, in partnership with Retail Operations

Your Talent

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of experience as a HR Generalist, preferably in a Retail environment
  • Effective communication skills with fluency in French speaking, reading, and writing
  • Workday and Kronos experience beneficial
  • Possess demonstrated results providing effective employee relations coaching and counseling
  • Flexible and comfortable with managing multiple priorities while being detailed oriented and creative, and demonstrating problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and be results oriented
  • Knowledge of US and Canadian labor laws a plus
  • Limited travel may be required
  • This role is currently located in Westford, MA but in mid-2021, it will be moving to our new office located in Assembly Row, Somerville, MA.
