Overview:

The Sports Marketing Intern will assist the Soccer and Running categories at PUMA North America. This position will be exposed to the day to day workings of the overall marketing department and have the opportunity to work cross functionally with various divisions within the marketing department (creative, public relations, lifestyle, account marketing). The intern must be creative and having an in depth
knowledge of soccer and/or running is preferred. This internship runs from May 12th- August 31st (dates are negotiable).


Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities 

·         Assist in the overall sports marketing plan for PUMA North America. This includes working with professional athletes, large accounts, grassroots initiatives, sponsorships and more!

·         Work with PUMA Male and Female soccer and running athletes on marketing appearances

·         Assist with the roll out of new product initiatives

·         Help plan regional tournament activations throughout the country that PUMA sponsors


Qualifications:

Requirements

·         Background in business administration, sports management or any comparable studies

·         Strong business orientation and analytical aptitude

·         Naturally inquisitive, solution-oriented with the ability to present actionable recommendations

·         Interest in the sports industry

·         Ability to develop strong working relationships with all internal and external resources

·         Ability to prioritize workloads, manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities

·         Advanced knowledge of Excel; highly competent with Microsoft Office Suite. Access preferred

·         Ability to commute to Westford, MA at least four times a week

·         Must currently be a student

·         THIS IS A PAID INTERNSHIP

Professional Experience

·         Experience working in a marketing role or within a sports organization is a plus; at least a sophomore
