PUMA’s failure analysis during our factory audits collates findings within general failure categories and subcategories. These categories are selected based on reporting requirements of the FLA and of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) on social supply chain issues.

To further address external stakeholder requirements, each key failure under a subcategory is counted as one separate failure when generating the total collective number of failures.

PUMA carried out 384 audits in 2015 and assessed 332 facilities, meaning some of those factories have been audited more than once on the search of the effective implementation of corrective actions. , 34 of which were made inactive and taken from the supplier base because of failure to meet our standards. From those 332 assessed facilities 301 are Tier 1 facilities and  31 are Tier 2 and 3 facilities.
