Jean-François Palus
Chairman of the Administrative Board

Group Managing Director and member of the Administrative Board of Kering S.A., Paris/France, responsible for Strategy, Operations and Organization

Before joining the Artemis Group in 2001, Mr. Palus spent ten years with the Kering Group, where he held several positions, including Deputy CFO for the timber division of Pinault SA, Group Financial Control Director, store manager at FNAC, and Corporate Secretary and member of Conforama’s Executive Board from 1998 to 2001.

Jean-François Palus joined the Kering Board in 2009. Since October 2012, the Sport & Lifestyle division reports directly to Jean-François Palus, with Todd Hymel in the position of Chief Operating Officer. Since December 2012 he has been Chairman of the Administrative Board of PUMA SE.

Thore Ohlsson

President of Elimexo AB, Falsterbo, Sweden

Thore Ohlsson has been President of the Elimexo AB since 1990. Aside from his position as a member of the Administrative Board of PUMA SE, he is Chairman of the Board of Bastec AB, Thomas Frick AB and T.M.C AB. In addition, Ohlsson is also a member of the Elite Hotels, Nobia Group, Tretorn AB and COBRA-PUMA GOLF Boards.


Jean-Marc Duplaix

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Kering S.A., Paris/France

Jean-Marc Duplaix began his career at Arthur Andersen as Project Coordinator and later Director from 1994 to 2004. In 2005, Mr Duplaix joined the M6 Group as Deputy Chief Financial & Administrative Officer. Jean-Marc Duplaix is a graduate of HEC and holds a DESCF Degree in Accounting & Finance.

Bernd Illig

Administrator IT Systems of PUMA SE, Herzogenaurach/Germany

Bernd Illig started working at PUMA in 2005 within the IT department, where he is responsible for User & System Support. In 2007 he was elected to the PUMA Works Council.

Guy Buzzard
Employees' Representative*

Field Account Manager of PUMA United Kingdom Ltd., Manchester/England

Guy Buzzard joined PUMA UK's sales team in October 2003 and was employed as Key Account Manager in the Sports team. He was elected to the European Works Council of PUMA in 2011.


François-Henri Pinault
Deputy Chairman of the Administrative Board

CEO and Chairman of the Administrative Board of Kering S.A., Paris/France

A graduate of France’s HEC business school, François-Henri Pinault joined the Pinault Group in 1987, where he held positions in several of the Group’s operating businesses before also joining the executive board.

In 2000, he became deputy CEO of Kering, responsible for the group’s digital strategy. Mr Pinault became chairman of the Artemis Group in 2003 and chairman and CEO of Kering in 2005.

Todd Hymel

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Volcom Inc., Costa Mesa/USA

Todd Hymel, joined Kering in 2008 and was as Deputy Director of Mergers & Acquisitions, before being appointed Chief Operating Officer of Kering Sport & Lifestyle Division in January 2012. Since July 2015 he has held the position as Chief Executive Officer of Kering's Action Sports Brands. In addition to his current role, he has been a member of the Administrative Board of Puma since April 2012.

Béatrice Lazat

Senior Vice-President Human Resources, Kering S.A., Paris/France

Béatrice Lazat has been Kering’s Human Resources Director since 3 March 2016. A French national, Béatrice Lazat started her career in the luxury sector in France at Cartier, and moved to Christofle. She then joined L’Oréal and built an international career for over 20 years, working successively in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Australia and China. More recently, she worked in Shanghai as L’Oréal’s Human Resources Director for the Asia-Pacific region. Aged 54, she is a graduate of the ESCP business school and holds an MBA from Georgia State University.  

Martin Köppel

Chairman of the Works Council of PUMA SE, Herzogenaurach/Germany

Martin Köppel joined PUMA in 1999. After working in the PC Support for three years he joined the network organisation department as an IT Administrator.

Managing Directors


Chief Executive Officer 

Bjørn Gulden has been Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PUMA SE since 1 July 2013 and is a member of the Kering Executive Committee. He brings to PUMA an extensive international experience of nearly 20 years in the sporting goods and footwear industry, where he held a variety of management positions.

Gulden was CEO of Danish jewellery brand Pandora from the beginning of 2012 to 2013. From 2000 to 2011, the Norwegian native was Managing Director of Europe’s largest footwear retailer, Deichmann, where he also headed the US-subsidiaries Rack Room Shoes and Off Broadway Shoes as CEO and President.

Michael Lämmermann

Chief Financial Officer

Michael Lämmermann has been responsible for Finance and Legal since January 1, 2013. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director of PUMA SE, he had been General Manager Finance.

Michael Lämmermann joined PUMA in 1993 and became the Director of Controlling in 1998. He was then promoted to Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of PUMA North America, based in Westford, USA, a role he filled for 10 years, before returning to Germany.

Lars Sørensen

Chief Operating Officer

Lars Sørensen has been responsible for Operations as well as Supply Chain Management, Logistics and IT since 1 August 2014. He joined PUMA in November 2013 as Global director Business Processes and Intelligence.

Prior to PUMA, the Danish native was previously the Chief Operating Officer at Bestseller and Esprit and before that he held leadership roles at Adidas and Lego.
