Title: Deputy Regional Sales Mngr. –Latin America
Reports to: Regional Head of Sales –Latin America
Position Summary
The DRSM is responsible for ensuring a consistent implementation of PUMA Commercial Strategies and initiatives throughout the region’s Distributors with special attention on Panama, Venezuela, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, Suriname, El Salvador, Bolivia and Jamaica, while achieving corporate sales and margin goals. Special focus should be put in Distribution Strategy, Sales Planning/Forecasting and PUMA Store’s Strategy throughout above countries. Other responsibilities include encouraging Partners to implement strategic concepts fully aligned with Regional & Corporate calendars
Essential Functions
The overall duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Achieve corporate sales and margin goals for above mentioned countries.
- Help new partners in getting up to speed in implementing PUMA International’s Sales Strategy.
- Implement and execute PUMA’s strategic initiatives such as Distribution Strategy, PRS sales planning, implementation and follow-up of PUMA TV concepts and Retail Benchmark Structure with the regional licensees and distributors in Latin America and theCaribbean
- Train our partners Sales Teams in Sales Planning, Sales Presentations and Strategic Key Account Management
- Implement Corporate Distribution Strategy in the region as communicated by Int’l Sales
- Review and approve local adaptations of DC Strategy when necessary
- Create and monitor implementation plans for fine-tuned Distribution Strategy by country
- Present PUMA’s global strategies and guidelines to our partners in the region and monitor their potential implementation
- Profile each country by needs, legal import requirements, labeling or other added values and align to all PUMA products to ensure that there will not be any import restrictions of is so which can affect the presence of the Brand.
- Review annual goals on contracts are align to real potential sales by division and present plans and arguments to do so.
- Control commercial practices of distributors. Suggest improvements to the current status.
- Perform field checks for DC, anti counterfeiting & merchandising policy fulfillment
Knowledge , skills & abilities
- Must understand our core consumer and company values.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related subjects; MBA preferred.
- Must have experience in sales strategy. Analytical skills a must.
- Experience in the sportswear, footwear, apparel or fashion industry a must.
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish. Portuguese is desirable. Interviews will be conducted in all three languages.
- Must have strong relationship management and project management skills. Proven track record of managing people, projects and relationships.
- Must possess persuasive communication and public relations skills. Will need to persuade and influence distributors and licensees not under direct control.
- Ability to operate internationally and in a culturally diverse workforce is important.
- Knowledge of the region :Latin America
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Perfect English written and spoken.
Job Specifics
- Based in Santiago de Chile–Chile
- Job requires extensive traveling ( about 60%) to Latin America, and Germany
- 30% of their total income is based on variable targets and objectives set each year by the Company.
