| 1997 | Atlanta Agreement demanding the absolute prohibition of child labor in football production |
| 1998 | Including all accessories manufacturers for the distribution of the Code of Conduct |
| 1999 | Appointment of an officer to enforce environmental and social standards in PUMA’s global network of suppliers |
| 2000 | Presentation of PUMA’s new handbook of environmental & social standards to all suppliers in Far East. |
| 2001 | Appointment of additional staff in Far East and Europe to support PUMA’s efforts on social & environmental issues globally. Distribution of copies of the Code of Conduct to the Americas and Europe. |
| 2002 | Including all licensees globally in the PUMA S.A.F.E. audit procedure |
| 2003 | Review of the PUMA Code of Conduct and distribution to all suppliers; First international stakeholder meeting, “Talks at Banz” established to show PUMA’s efforts to be more transparent about its Social & Environmental Activities. |
| 2004 | PUMA became a graduating member of the Fair Labor Association, FLA. |
| 2005 | Publication of sustainability report „Momentum” in accordance with 2002 Reporting Guidelines from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI); PUMA becomes a member of the AFRIM Group (Apparel and footwear International RSL Management Working Group) on Restricted Substances in Foootwear and Apparel and Accessories. |
| 2006 | PUMA supplier list publicly available. |
| 2007 | PUMA issues its new Sustainability Report 2005/2006. For the first time, German Technical Service and Assurance Provider TÜV Rheinland verified and certificated the report. The report is published in accordance with the guidelines of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). PUMA’s Sustainability Report obtained the best GRI application level A+ - a first in the sporting goods industry. Greenpeace awards “green” status to PUMA on restricted substances in products. |
