S.A.F.E. at a Glance
Encompassing issues of human rights, product safety and ecological concerns, the S.A.F.E concept (Social Accountability and Fundamental Environmental Standards) is articulated as a set of internal standards in effect throughout the supply chain. True to the adage that „responsibility starts at home”, these standards are primarily upheld by the S.A.F.E. Audit Team, a group that monitors partner manufacturers and works with the rest of the company in promoting the S.A.F.E. concept.

S.A.F.E.: Social Accountability and Fundamental Environmental Standards.
We developed the S.A.F.E. House, with the 5 core pillars as the basis for our S.A.F.E. concept representing a milestone for PUMA’s Corporate Social Responsibility policy. For details please take a look at our Sustainability Reports.

Social Accountability means that PUMA stands for its responsibility to all its stakeholders including direct and indirect employees, shareholders and consumers. PUMA seeks an active dialogue with these stakeholders and interest groups such as non governmental organizations, academia and others.

The social standards, which have been laid out in our Code of Conduct, contain the most important social principles, which should be respected first of all relating to the employees of our supplier factories.

The Environmental standards aim to reduce any negative environmental impact from PUMA’s business activities and guarantee products are free of hazardous substances.
