The Footwear Color Designer (m/f) will define and execute against seasonal color and material initiatives for the international footwear product range.
Tasks and responsibilities include:
- Create and apply color and material palettes to seasonal footwear product lines
- Work closely as a member of the Product Line Management, Footwear Design and Product Development Teams, assisting in planning and merchandising of seasonal footwear product lines
- Travel to domestic and international markets to develop and monitor fashion and consumer trends that can be applied to PUMA’s own product range
We expect:
- Bachelor degree in Art/Design, Fine Art, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Architecture, Fashion, Apparel & Textile Design, or related
- 3-4 years experience in a design industry
- Experience in fashion and/or graphic design a plus
- Strong drawing, rendering, presentation and communication skills
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop is required
- An understanding of color merchandising/line planning across multiple product categories and distribution channels
- Ability to envision and apply appropriate materials and graphics to footwear
- Credible knowledge of international fashion and consumer product trends
- A strong eye for detail and refinement - Ability to effectively interface and communicate with an international team located on multiple continents
- Knowledge or interest in motorsports and/or football (soccer)
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (20% yearly)
