Intern - Apparel Development

The intern will have the opportunity to work in a hands-on apparel development environment. They will be involved directly in the design, development and proto process for the PUMA International and PUMA North America apparel lines.
Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with design to interpret their sketches into 3D garments
- Research fabric and trims and put appropriate qualities into work with our Asia based sourcing offices.
- Daily communication with our World Cat sourcing partners in multiple countries
- Partner with technical design team to assure accurate spec and fit
- Updating designs and details in the PRM design data base system
- The student will also have the option to attend all design meetings including line build and the proto review and the design alignment meetings as their schedule allows.
- Attend fit sessions
The intern will be invited to the PUMA sales meetings during their time with us. The intern will work with a mentor from our development team to assure a guided experience.
We Expect
• Un-paid/Academic credit only (must provide sponsorship agreement / letter outlining approval).
• Must currently be enrolled in college degree program; preferably fashion/design majors.
• Proven ability to work independently and multi-task.
• Fall 2009 semester; Hours are flexible.
