The Sport Footwear Intern will be responsible for assisting Puma International Footwear Designers, Footwear Color Designers, Footwear Developers, and Product Line Managers meet their seasonal objectives. Responsibilities will include supporting the team in their daily activities. Tasks include: conducting research and analysis, financial analysis, creating mood boards, and other projects.
The selected candidate will be exposed to strategic planning, forecasting, design, and development of an international product line. He/she will gain an understanding of a retail merchandising organization and its processes. The candidate will develop a business knowledge of the footwear marketplace.
Job Description
Provide support to team members in all aspects of the Sport Footwear product line. Will assist in the development of product lifecycle strategies. Conduct research on industry and consumer trends, competitive activities, and market intelligence. Must have the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
We Expect
o Must currently be enrolled in College/University seeking a degree in Business/ Marketing, Retail, Fashion Design, or related discipline.
o Must be detail-oriented and possess exceptional organizational skills.
o Is proactive and delivers results.
o Must have stellar communication and interpersonal skills.
o Solid knowledge of Microsoft excel, Powerpoint and Word are necessary.
o Consumer/industry awareness is key.
o Unpaid, academic credit, internship for the Fall 2009 Semester.
o Hours are flexible.
